So… how exactly DID an overweight, non-athletic, terrible swimmer transform into an athlete capable of swimming for over 17 hours in 63 degree water with the tides pushing and pulling her over 41 miles, ultimately becoming the 466th woman in the history of the world to swim the English Channel?

If you are looking for an inspirational and unique tale of endurance and perseverance, overcoming the odds, and the amazing power of community and teamwork, I am happy to share the empowering and encouraging tale that is my English Channel journey.  From educators to business people to school children – I have brought this story and its diverse applications to a vast variety of audiences.

I know that the tremendous power of the spoken word can make a powerful and lasting impression.  That’s what I hope – to make a difference in the lives of those around me and help to change the world for the better in any way I can.
